Archbishop Gregory Venables

Archbishop Venables serves as our Primate and Diocesan. As Primate of the Southern Cone Province, he serves seven dioceses in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. The Province has received some 40 to 50 congregationshere in the United States and in Brazil who were in need of Primatial Oversight due to the ongoing difficulties within the Episcopal Church (ECUSA/TEC).
ArchbishopVenables is also the Diocesan Bishop of Argentina, which is the Diocese that has received our parish and two other parishes here in San Diego County.
Archbishop Venables was born in 1949, ordained as Priest in 1984 and consecrated as Bishop in 1993. Archbishop Venables has served as the Primate of the Southern Cone since 2001.

Bishop Valentino Mokiwa

Bishop Mokiwa was consecrated Bishop of the diocese of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania in April of 2002 as the youngest bishop within the Communion.
Bishop Mokiwa was trained at Virginia Theological Seminary. He first received his MTS degree in 1992 and continued his education to receive his Doctor of Divinity in 2003. He has been active in ministry since 1989 first serving as a deacon and then a priest until being consecrated as Bishop in 2002. He and his wife, Grace, have two sons.
Bishop Mokiwa was elected to be Primate of Tanzania on Feb. 28 during a special session of the General Synod in Dodoma and he will be installed in Dodoma on May 25, 2008.
Bishop Mokiwa serves as the companion bishop for Holy Trinity Parish. Holy Trinity contributes support to his diocese thru part of our mission budget and ongoing contributions.

Rector
The Rev. Lawrence Bausch


Fr. Bausch was raised in Los Angeles and graduated from San Diego State University. He is a graduate of Seabury Western Theological Seminary. He married his wife Carol in 1973 and they have four grown children. He served as an assistant priest at two churches before becoming Rector at Holy Trinity Parish in Ocean Beach in 1979. He served as Deputy at General Convention in 1994, 1997, 2000 (first alternate), 2003, and 2006 (first alternate). He has served on the National Council of Forward in Faith North America since 1994. In 2001, he took his first sabbatical, and has recently completed his work on the subject: “The Conversion of the Irish from St. Patrick to 700 AD: A Study in the Relationship between Gospel and Culture.” He resigned from the ministry of the Episcopal Church in September 2006, and was received as a priest in good standing in the Diocese of Argentina, in the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone. Holy Trinity Parish elected at the same time leave ECUSA and Fr. Bausch accepted the call to continue to serve as Rector.

Assistant
The Rev. Robert Trebbe

Fr. Trebbe was raised in St. Petersburg , Florida . He joined the US Marine Corps in 1975 and retired in 1997. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, and Nashotah House Seminary. He has served as Campus Chaplain at St. Jude's Ranch for Children, Boulder City, Nevada; Assistant at All Saints' Church, San Diego as well as Chaplain and Religion Teacher at All Saints' School. Fr. Trebbe was Associate Rector at All Saints' Church in Vista California just prior to being received as a priest in good standing into the Diocese of Bolivia by the Rt.Rev Frank Lyons. As a “Northern Bolivian",
Fr Trebbe ministered for a time at the Christian Healing Center in Oceanside and assisted at Holy Family Anglican Church in Vista . He has been received into the Diocese of Argentina and is looks forward to continue being in on what the Holy Spirit is doing among the churches. He and his wife of over 20 years, Deann, live in Vista with their English and American Cocker Spaniels.
