Bishop William Thompson

Bishop William Thompson was consecrated as the first bishop for the newly formed Western Anglicans Diocese on Oct 31, 2009 serving as Holy Trinity's new diocesan. He has served as the rector of All Saints in Long Beach since 1975. A graduate of Stanford University, he earned his Masters of Divinity from Seabury-Western in 1971. Bishop Thompson has been Dean of the Conv. of The ACN, Common Cause collegiate vicar to the Assoc of Western Anglicans and also serves the ACNA as chairman of the Prayer Book & Common Liturgy task force.

Archbishop Robert Duncan

Archbishop Robert Duncan was installed as the first Primate of the newly formed Anglican Church in North American (ACNA) on June 25th, 2009. He has stated his goal is to reunite a significant portion of the Anglican Church family in North American. He graduated from Trinity College in 1970 then enrolled at the General Theological Seminary in New York. He was ordained as a deacon in 1972, and as a priest in 1973. He was consecrated Bishop of the Dio. of Pittsburgh in Sept 1997 where he served until Sept of 2008.

Archbishop Gregory Venables

Archbishop Venables served as our Primate and Diocesan before the formation of ACNA. As Primate of the Southern Cone Province, he serves seven dioceses in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. Archbishop Venables is also the Diocesan Bishop of Argentina.
Archbishop Venables was born in 1949, ordained as Priest in 1984 and consecrated as Bishop in 1993. Archbishop Venables has served as the Primate of the Southern Cone since 2001.

Archbishop Valentino Mokiwa

Archbishop Mokiwa was elected as Primate of Tanzania on Feb. 28 and was installed in Dodoma on May 25, 2008. He serves as a companion bishop to Holy Trinity Parish. He has been active in ministry since 1989 first serving as a deacon and then a priest until being consecrated as Bishop of Dar es Salaam in 2002. Archbishop Mokiwa was trained at Virginia Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Grace, have two sons.
Holy Trinity contributes support to his diocese thru part of our mission budget and ongoing contributions.

Rector
The Rev. Lawrence Bausch


Fr. Bausch was raised in Los Angeles and graduated from San Diego State University. He is a graduate of Seabury Western Theological Seminary. He married his wife Carol in 1973 and they have four grown children. He served as an assistant priest at two churches before becoming Rector at Holy Trinity Parish in Ocean Beach in 1979. He served as Deputy at General Convention in 1994, 1997, 2000 (first alternate), 2003, and 2006 (first alternate). He has served on the National Council of Forward in Faith North America since 1994. In 2001, he took his first sabbatical, and has recently completed his work on the subject: “The Conversion of the Irish from St. Patrick to 700 AD: A Study in the Relationship between Gospel and Culture.” He resigned from the ministry of the Episcopal Church in September 2006, and was received as a priest in good standing in the Diocese of Argentina, in the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone. Holy Trinity Parish elected at the same time leave ECUSA and Fr. Bausch accepted the call to continue to serve as Rector.
