The Global Anglican Future Conference set for June

GAFCON will begin with important meetings in Jordan from June 18-22 which will include the conference leadership, theological resource group, those bishops serving in majority Islamic settings and other areas of the Global South as well as other key diocesan leaders. The Jerusalem pilgrimage will now take place from June 22-29 with a focus on worship, prayer, discussions and Bible Study, shaped by the context of the Holy Land.
Its aim is to draw Biblical Anglican Christians together for urgent consultation. It is not a consultation which many feel can take place at Lambeth, because Lambeth has a different agenda and far wider guest list. And since many of the participants cannot in good conscience attend Lambeth, they are taking this opportunity to come together to discuss the state of the Communion.
