Rector - The Rev. Paul Gibbons

Fr. Paul was born and raised in Orange County Ca. He is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University (B.A. Theology 2002) and Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA (M.Div. 2012, S.T.M. 2014). After graduating from PLNU, Fr. Paul worked as a youth and college leader and for various churches in San Diego County. After graduating from Trinity Fr. Paul served as a curate at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Visalia Ca. and as the director of youth ministry for the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin. Fr. Paul began his service as rector of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in August of 2017. Fr. Paul and his beautiful wife, April were married in 2004. They have four children. In his free time, Paul loves to build princess castles with his daughter, Abbie and destroy princess castles with his three sons Charlie, James, and Tommy.
Assistant - The Rev. Russell Martin

Russell is a native Southern Californian; having been in Ventura County. Russell has loved and walked with the Lord, since his youth, never really knowing a time when he was not a Christian. In 1986, he moved to San Diego in order to attend S.D.S.U. During his tenure as an Aztec, Russell earned both his Bachelor’s (1992) and Master’s Degrees in Social Work (1997). It was also during this season that Russell began his career as a Correctional Probation Officer with San Diego County from 1987-1997. His work with Probation focused on working with at risk Juveniles.
Attending Seminary at Trinity School for Ministry, in Ambridge Pennsylvania, Russell earned his Master of Divinity Degree in June of 2000 and was ordained as both a Deacon and Priest in the Episcopal Church. In late 2006, Russell, left the Episcopal Church over Biblical and Doctrinal issues and formed what is now Christ the King Anglican Church (ACNA), where he served as senior pastor until February of 2020. Fr. Russell served as the first Dean for the San Diego Deanery from 2009-2017.He has held numerous positions of leadership both in the Diocese of Western Anglicans and within the Province of the Anglican Church of North America. In 2017, the Lord led Russell to his present position as the Protestant Chaplain at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility. Fr. Russell was married to his beloved wife Molly for nearly seventeen years before she passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, following an eight-year battle with cancer, in June of 2020. Fr. Russell has a deep and abiding love of God and the Holy Scripture and as such he has committed his life and ministry to sharing the joy and grace of Christ as Lord and Savior through the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Likewise, he is passionate about growing disciples of Jesus and transforming communities with the tangible grace and love of God.

Assistant - The Rev. Adewale (Wale) Giwa-Alaka

Fr. Wale was born and raised in Lagos Nigeria prior to relocating to Houston Texas during his teenage years. He is an alumnus of Talbot School of Theology where he completed a Master of Divinity degree with specialization in Pastoral Care and Counseling. He is a member of Talbot distinguished honor society, Kappa Tau Epsilon. Prior to his move to San Diego, he served as an Associate Rector at the Anglican Church of the Epiphany, La Mirada; he worked at Biola University to help veterans with their benefits and developed policies for the institution; he completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education at the Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital, Whittier. He is a Navy Seabee veteran deployed to Guam, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Djibouti.
Fr. Wale is currently working at the VA San Diego Healthcare System as a Chaplain Resident. He is a postulant in the Order of Saint Cuthbert–a religious community committed to restoration, prayer, and contemplation. He is a Navy Chaplain Candidate who is in discernment about his call to the armed forces. In his spare time, he enjoys theological discussions, relaxation with friends, reading, Texans football, English Premier League, and other creations of God.

Office Administrator - Sandra Mack

Sandra Mack grew up in New England where she felt called to Christian devotion and service from a young age. After earning two theology degrees at Gordon College and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, she taught Biblical Studies until 1988, home-schooled three children, and began a career in church office management in 1996. She has served five churches in San Diego in five different denominations, including service at Holy Trinity since 2005. In her free time, Sandra loves outdoor recreation, prayer, and reading Ancient Christian writings. She is married to Pastor Adlai Mack and they have three grown children.
