The Persecuted Church Around the World
There is no question that following Christ is a costly choice. It may mean broken relationships, loss of opportunity, or, for many Christians around the world, marginalization and hostile persecution. Many of these Christians live in places like Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and many of them share our own Anglican faith and practice. Part of our mission as Christians is to be in prayer for our brothers and sisters around the globe who are suffering for the sake of the Gospel. Below are some valuable resources that can help you keep up to date about the reality of being a Christian in some of the most hostile locations in the world.
The World Watch List is a ranking of 50 countries where persecution of Christians for religious reasons is worst. First of all, the list covers persecution of Christians of all denominations in the entire country. The focus is on persecution for their faith, not persecution for political, economic, social, ethnic or accidental reasons.

First published in 1964 and now in its seventh edition, OW is the recipient of the ECPA Gold Medallion Award for Excellence in Evangelical Christian Literature and was listed in Christianity Today's Top 50 Books That Have Shaped Evangelicals.
World Watch Monitor reports the story of Christians around the world under pressure for their faith. World Watch Monitor is particularly concerned with reporting on the underlying causes of persecution. We aim to connect the dots to reveal the forces behind acts of violence and injustice.
