March 1st, 2009 - Our Rector, the Rev. Fr. Lawrence Bausch was made honorary Canon of the Diocese of Dar Es Salaam by Archbishop Valention Mokiwa, Primate of Tanzania .

Feb. 28th, 2009 - Holy Trinity hosted the workshop "Crying Out to God" byt the Rev. Alan Hansen of Acts 29 Ministries. The class taught ways to seek the Lord in earnest addressing the disciplines of fasting and intercession giving practical suggestions to implement these into the life of the parish.

Jan. 31st, 2009 - Holy Trinity held its annual parish meeting. New vestry members were elected, a variety of upcoming projects were discussed, and several reports regarding a number of different areas about the operation of the church were featured. If you missed the meeting, you may obtain a copy of the annual report in the Parish Office.

Jan. 21st, 2009 - Bishop Atwood, assistant to our Archbishop Gregory Venables, join us for a day long visit to conduct a workshop centered around Evangelism and to meet Holy Trinity parishioners.

Jan. 4th, 2009 - Holy Trinity's annual Epiphany Pageant was presented with great success. All the children did a beautiful job of portraying the story of our Lord's birth. Congratulations to Director John Cochran, Asst. Director Cathy Lemieux, and Asst. Coordinator Brendalea Sparks and our "actors".

June 19th-30th - Fr. Bausch will be attending the GAFCON meetings and pilgrimage. As one of the 1000 invited leaders, he will be participating in setting the future of the Anglican Communion and the challenges facing the global church.

The response to the call for good stewardship was one of the most encouraging things I saw at Holy Trinity this past year, particularly in these difficult financial times when everyone has been affected by the weak economy. Less encouraging was the evening of the Open House for the Children's Program that featured the Resurrection Choristers from the Anglican Church of the Resurrection in San Marcos. Four of us were sitting around the house one evening (whose house, I have no recollection), musing about scenic wonders available right here in California. Someone said “What about Death Valley? I've never been there, have you?” We acknowledged that none of us had ever been to the huge National Park (largest in the lower 48 states), even though it's very close to San Diego.
