St. Anne's Guild - the women's organization within the Parish that provides of variety of outreach programs. These programs include: The Angel Tree Ministry that provides Christmas gifts to the children of inmates within our local detention facilities.
Scholarship Programs allowing young parishioners to attend camp at Camp Stevens.
Support Programs for parishioners to plan andparticipate in Camp CoastCare, the rebuilding effort in Mississippi to restore the homes and lives of those effected by Katrina.
Arts & Crafts projects used to help generate funds for their various ministries.

Kairos Ministries - Kairos is a Greek word that translates as a moment in time where God has scheduled something special to happen. The Kairos ministry is devoted to helping people incarcerated in prison know that God has special moments planned for them even while they are more worried about the mundane time (Chronos) ahead of them. By going into the prisons, this ministry focuses on the idea of forgiveness to help those inmates. Thru the use of the cookies provided by our parishioners the inmates learn that everyone is in need of forgiveness, that God will forgive them, and that they need to forgive others as well. This ministry is support by Holy Trinity both by the volunteers going into the prison and by those who bake the cookies they use.

Pastoral Care Partners - the Pastoral Care Partnership team are volunteers within the Parish who gather together to help members of our Parish family and others accomplish various chores or repairs that they may not otherwise be able to do themselves.

Prayers & Squares - This is a prayer ministry that includes the giving of a quilt or pillow to someone in need of prayer due to serious health problems. These can include ongoing critical conditions or the recovery from surgery. The recipient does not necessarily have to be a member of the parish or even a member of any church so long as they are willing to accept the gift. The quilt is blessed during Mass at church and parishioners will say prayers for the recipient as they tie knots on the threads attached. The quilts themselves are made by parishioners during workparties on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall.

CAMP STEVENS FIRE UPDATE

On Saturday, Sept 15th a small fire near Camp Stevens quickly grew causing the evacuation of the camp and extensive damage to the grounds and buildings. Since then, recovery efforts have been ongoing. Camp Stevens is remembered fondly by many members from their attendance and the efforts of our Fr. Sadler in its creation.

Community Outreach Dinners

The Community Outreach Dinner provides a meal for those in need each Wednesday of the month via the combined efforts of several churches throughout the Ocean Beach community. Holy Trinity hosts the dinner at 6:00 pm on the third Wednesday of each month. For the months of January thru October, the meal consists of spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, vegetables, salad and desert. In November the menu changes to turkey and in December we serve ham. Much of the food is gathered via donations from parishioners while some is purchased thru the mission budget. All of the work involved in preparing, serving and cleaning up after is done by volunteer parishioners. Earlier this year, the average attendance for thedinner was about 40 people. Lately however, the attendance has jumpedto about 100 which has put a strain on the budget for this particular mission. If you are interested in contributing to the budget, or contributing the necessary food items, or contributing your time in the actual production of the meal, please contact Chuck Merritt or call the Parish Office at 222-0365.

Loaves and Fishes

Loaves and Fishes distributes food three mornings a week from Holy Trinity Parish. The program is sponsored and supported by twelve Point Loma area churches and has been in existence for over 27 years. The first Sunday of each month is the "official" collection day for Holy Trinity donations in which those items and food given will be blessed during the Masses of that day. However, donations are gladly accepted any day and can be brought in any day and any time. The program is in need of non-perishable food items and small toiletries at all times of the year. During the cold winter months, Loaves and Fishes will also appeal for items that will help those in need get thru those harsher conditions.

The Diocese of Dar Es Salaam
Holy Trinity Parish gives a portion of our mission budget to our companion Bishop Valentino Mokiwa. We also actively solicit additional funds through direct contributions from parishioners and regular designations of the loose offering plate to go to Tanzania.
The diocese of Dar es Salaam was established in1963. It occupies an area of 11,600 sq miles including 42 parishes and 180 rural missions. As with many third-world countries, Tanzania is challenged by poverty, malnutrition, poor medical care, and lack of education. Bishop Mokiwa is responding to these challenges by offering elementary and secondary school programs, operating a health clinic, and a radio station in addition to providing traditional orthodox Anglican guidance. He also intends to establish the Toni Job Opportunity & Vocational Training Center soon.
